This was a design I developed for a NASA project at UTSA. The Idea is to pack a fully functional drone into a sizeable model rocket and have the drone deploy at a certain altitude. The design incorporates spring loaded locking arms so that the drone can be stowed in a tubular fairing. The preliminary schematics of the structure of the drone are below as well as a simple electrical schematic.
