I designed this breakout board to make it easier to work with the eZ80 processor. The eZ80 is a modern variant of the Z80 which in turn was based on the 8080 processor. It is currently used on the TI-84 CE line of calculators. This processor is 8-bit with a 24-bit address bus, 8-bit data bus, and 4 8-bit ports. The processor has a lot of internal functionality as detailed in its datasheet.
This board design is my first and has various issues; pins are grouped and irregularly placed, making it impossible to mount on a perf board or a breadboard. The size is much too large for most breadboards and because of that this design uses too much material. Traces that carry power need to be larger in certain areas, and cross-talk in the data lines is a concern.
